Women know it.
The unease.
Walking alone.
That instinct to glance over your shoulder.
Thirty years ago, the Towpath Prowler turned that unease into every woman’s nightmare.

His hunting ground: the Leeds & Liverpool Canal near Skipton.
An idyllic stretch of water. A long, lonely towpath.

It began with watching.
Then came the attacks.
Then… murder.

Now it’s happening again.

Women report being followed.
Joggers sense someone watching from the bushes.
Cyclists hear footsteps that stop when they turn.

But the Towpath Prowler is serving life in a high-security psychiatric hospital.

DCI Frank Finnegan remembers 1995.
He worked the original case.
It never left him.

And if this is a copycat prowler—Finnegan knows the killing will start again.

Another gripping Yorkshire crime thriller from Ely North.
