Northern lights, frozen nights… and a killer hiding in plain sight!

Former DCI Seoras Macleod and his ever-resourceful partner Jane are hoping for a tranquil holiday in Canada’s rugged, icy northwest. But their peaceful retreat into the wild is cut short when a terrifying affliction strikes the remote town: adults are suddenly going blind, and one local has already turned up dead.

Suspecting a toxic batch of illicit moonshine, Seoras and Jane plunge into the freezing underworld of backcountry liquor running. But as they track the bootleggers through the snow-choked wilderness, Seoras’s seasoned detective instincts catch on a chilling inconsistency. The fatal victim wasn’t poisoned by the local brew—they were murdered.

Now, trapped in a tight-knit community where everyone has a secret and the wilderness offers no escape, the duo must separate the smugglers from a cold-blooded killer. With the local law stretched thin and the death toll threatening to rise, Seoras and Jane must rely on their razor-sharp wits to expose the truth.

Ice, isolation, and illegal spirits—can they catch a murderer who operates in the dark before it’s lights out for them?
