England, 1461

Elizabeth Woodville’s world is shattered when her husband is killed in battle, leaving her vulnerable in the brutal Wars of the Roses. Elizabeth though is no ordinary woman and in secret, she captures the heart of King Edward IV.

But a crown does not guarantee safety. As Elizabeth navigates a treacherous royal court, dark accusations of sorcery stalk her, threatening not just her own life, but the future of her entire family. When her two royal sons – the Princes in the Tower – are seized, Elizabeth must use all her cunning and a secret network of women to protect her children and hide them in history.

London, Present Day

Historian Willow Baskin is dedicated to uncovering how accusations of witchcraft have been used to silence women. But her academic life takes a terrifying turn when a reunion with her investigative journalist ex-boyfriend draws her into a gruesome string of unsolved murders spanning from centuries ago to now.

Drawn into a dark puzzle, Willow must unravel a dangerous secret spanning over five hundred years. But as the lines between past and present blur, can she uncover the truth before history repeats itself?
